We were able to win Kevin LaCroix from the USA as Key Note speaker for the Financial Lines Forum 2019 – he is one of the world’s best-known experts in the field of D&O and runs, among other things, the blog “D&O Diary“, which the New York Times describes as “influential” and the Wall Street Journal as “widely followed”. Together with Kevin LaCroix, we held a roundtable discussion in a small circle at the Zunfthaus zur Meisen in Zurich on the afternoon of 1 April 2019, one day before the FLF, followed by an “apéro riche”. It was a rare opportunity to hear first-hand from Kevin LaCroix about the risks directors and the Board of Directors in the USA are faced with. Experience shows that such trends with some delay regularly become relevant for Europe and Switzerland. Hendrik Jauer of Axa XL and Dr. Jodok Wicki of CMS of Erlach Poncet provided additional insights into the D&O loss situation in Switzerland.
Risk and insurance managers from major Swiss companies took an active part in the discussion and made the Roundtable a success.
